Man kind nearly destroyed the Earth with their fuels and neglect. Innovative ideas kept it alive but just barely. We suffered many losses but out of it rose up Xydrate city. A domed city that protects from harmful UV rays. Here you can live happily and comfortably, if you have the money for it.
Outside of Xydrate are the people kept shunned. The Kurosagi. They are humans that have gone further in the chain of evolution. Belittled and turned away for their abilities they live in poverty and dream of entering Xydrate. With the Aria Force about to prevent their entry this is indeed a difficult task.

-The Selection Ceremony-
Once every five years the Wall opens its doors. People are allowed to take tours and see what goes on here. The public will be allowed to see the Psychics that are trained here and watch police officers choose their partners. It is the only time officers are allowed to choose who their partner will be and the public is allowed direct contact with the Psychics even if they themselves are not officers of the law.
Much thanks and love to proboards for their awesome code database. Photobucket for making Miyavi images so easy to find.
Lots of love and thanks to Emchi, the genius behind BBB's sexy banner. <3333

All of a sudden, Vincent was as calm as an undisturbed pond. "Ahem..." he took out his phone and dialed in to one of his companies. The very one who MADE this automobile. "Yes. I need a delivery made. You know the prototype? Yes. Yes they slashed a tire. Yes... a new rim too. Get it here in 5 or I castrate you personally."
He hung up and sat at the curb beside his sweet baby. Until he chose to have kids, (acknowledge them, that is...) this was his one and only baby. He washed her, pampered her, and got her all the expensive accessories.
Moments later, a truck with a massive S (with a V in it, almost like a bastardized dollar sign) rolled to a stop beside him. Two large men got out. One with a jack, the other with a rim and tire for his car. "Very good... he avoided becoming a eunich." They worked like lightning, putting the rim and tire on with the ease that a professional pit crew SHOULD have.
"Thanks, boys. She looks good as new." Those two would receive a bonus when they got home, in the form of a few hundred bucks stuffed into their mailboxes. Vincent hopped into the cockpit of the sleek machine and turned the key. "There we go." He said with a smile as the car roared to life like a pissed off lion after an adrenaline shot.
"Now... time to go to central station and wait... That shithead will show up eventually." The car practically exploded to a speed of about 100 Miles per Hour as he eagerly made his way to the cop-shop. Little did he know he was speeding right towards the officer in question... in addition to his "brother" Landon.

Mari Elise collapsed back into a chair, feeling dizzy enough to almost lose conscious. The napkins around her wounded hand were soaked with blood. She took up her phone in her good hand and pressed in speed-dial numbers on both. The first call was delivered while she was crying.
"Maxwell, honey, it's Mari. I was meeting Vincent to discuss the Metadrine project and I was shot by an Aria Force officer. I'm on my way to the Xydrate Medical Center now. Please..Please come..It's bad.." she took a deep breath and steadied her voice as much as possible. "Mom? Hi Mom, it's Mari Elise.. Listen, I need you and Dad to push up the date of that Press Release. People are going to try and say some terrible things about the project.. and I want to get the news out before that happens."
She shakily set the phone back into her purse and tried her best to stay seated upright as she heard the sirens of the ambulance outside the pub. She had done all she could for now. And she knew that in the end, when all was said and done. the Sarconni family would come out looking better then ever.
